Summarized Lore:It was the 1500s when vampires thrived. Humans, and any other weaklings crumbled upon their rule. Among vampires, there was a hierarchy, and to stay on top you had to show just how much strength you wielded. Ai Tepes would stop at nothing to prove her power and to prove herself worthy to her family, but this ruthlessness was the cause for the emptiness she felt inside. Deep within, she was not the cruel being she was made out to be, and there were times when she allowed her soft heart to shrine through. Although rare, she couldn’t help but sympathize for weaker vampires, and thus would take them in. Under her wings, everyone received a lavish life and eventually this created an army of loyal followers, few of them even becoming her dear friends.
However, power was never eternal and eventually others would get greedy. Various vampire clans were in the works to plan a massive asassination. A war against every member of the Tepes family was going to arise.
Before Ai could get word on the situation at hand, her followers quickly devised a plan in which they would put her in a deep slumber. Ai Tepes was strong, but the worry that there was a chance she could perish, haunted them– in their minds this was the least they could do for her, after all the aid she provided.
Night fell and Ai Tepes was put into a sleep that would last for centuries. Buried deep in the castle, to be awoken in many, many years to come.

Upon the opening of her eyes, countless questions ran through her head. Her mind was flooded with confusion.
This was no longer the world she once knew and the exact creatures she was taught to look down upon, humans… proved themselves to be resilient. They were much more than just cattle.
There was love and joy in the air in this new world, could she too live a life without all the darkness? Or would guilt from the past haunt her?
Maybe this was her second chance at life.

Full Lore:If you traveled far into the past, there was a time when a blood crescent moon shone brightly in the sky. Standing under it, you’d find the once ruthless Ai Tepes with a conniving smile and glowing scarlet eyes. She had a singular goal; that being that of obtaining blood and of course, power.
Most, if not all vampire aristocrats, were similar to her. Nonetheless, her particularly shrewd nature and desperation to please her family was what allowed her to stay on top of the vampire hierarchy. Her family pushed her to be greater (or so she thought), as the only way to please them was with the win of each battle and the increase of influence. The short-lived gratification from her family and others was what brought her peace of mind. Despite the so-called joy she got from feasting and authority, she was a lonely soul. Something in her heart screamed out telling her what she was doing was wrong, but she ignored any emotions of empathy and crushed them, especially towards humans. Yet, it was nearly impossible to conceal every emotion that exhibited weakness. Vampires on the other hand… she had a soft spot that simply could not be casted away. Despite her naturally cold nature, Ai still had a few friends and loyal followers, as she treated those near her like royalty. Oftentimes, she took in vampires from lower classes and provided them with food, shelter, and much more. Her wins were not just hers alone, but to be celebrated by everyone around. Thus, with the extensive capital she had, it was not an issue to live a cushioned life. Despite all the strength she and the Tepes family had showcased, it didn’t stop the enemies from forming alliances vowing to take them down.
Rumors started to come about that a rebellion was spurring; a rise against Ai Tepes and others in the Tepes lineage. The Tepes family was considered royalty, and everyone wanted a taste of that life, doing anything to achieve it. An ambush, an assassination; unspeakable actions were being planned, but before these lingering words could get to Ai herself, her supporters had come up with a plan.
Ai and the Tepes family were strong, but they were unsure if she could win an attack like the one that was being planned.
The loyalty they showed her was unlike any other and they were willing to sacrifice themselves as a way of protecting her…
This was goodbye, but if it meant that their beloved Ai could finally live a life free from the shackles of her corrupt family and their morals, they would do it, due to all the kindness she had shown.
The sun was soon to rise, and Ai was preparing for bed when she was served a glass of blood wine. Unable to resist, she drank it swiftly so she could rest her eyes, not knowing that her eyes would be closed for many, many years to come. Her followers gracefully buried her in a casket deep within the castle, as the blood wine was meant to put her in a deep slumber for centuries… she would eventually find herself in a drastically different time.

Were they involved in this plan too or were they not informed? What exactly occurred all those years ago…
Little did she know, they survived that war and sooner or later they would be reunited once again in a time where they would be able to live freely.
